The Fluke 17B+ Digital Multimeter builds on the strengths of the 15B+ by adding extra functionality, making it a worthy companion for electricians and serious DIYers. It has a one-handed operation, even with gloves, and a large backlit display provides readings in all lighting conditions.
The 17B+ measures AC/DC voltage up to 1000 V and current up to 10 A, and includes resistance, continuity, capacitance, and diode testing functions. Where the 17B+ sets itself apart is in its ability to measure frequency and temperature, expanding its usefulness to applications such as refrigeration, HVAC, and electronic system checks.
Supplied with a Type K thermocouple, it enables temperature readings and electrical diagnostics. The meter also has relative measurement capability, allowing you to zero out baseline readings. Safety is built in, with a CAT III 600 V rating and overload protection.
