The Gagemaker PG-6000 Series gauges measure functional (effective) diameter by accounting for the combined effects of pitch, flank angle, and lead errors. These gauges utilise rolling contact elements that seat into the thread, simulating the functional engagement of mating parts. All gauges in the PG-6000 series must be preset to a nominal value using gauge blocks, micrometers, or the Gagemaker MIC TRAC system.
