Gagemaker Thread Lead Gauge

These Gagemaker Gauges inspect the thread lead, which is the axial distance between threads. They have contact points that engage directly with the thread flanks and are available in internal and external configurations. Various resolutions, 0.0005", 0.0001", and metric 0.01 mm versions are crucial for meeting API Specification 7-2 requirements.

The gauges have a two-point contact system for effective sweeping measurements and come with interchangeable contact points tailored for different thread pitches and profiles. Each instrument includes a standard set of contact points but can be customised to accommodate specific thread forms. To ensure precision, the gauges must be preset against a nominal dimension using Gagemaker lead gauge setting standards, which conform to ANSI and API guidelines for straight and tapered threads.
