About Refrigerant Leak Detectors

A refrigerant leak detector, also known as a freon detector, or a refrigerant gas detector, makes it possible to control the presence of refrigerant gases in an environment.

Refrigerant leakage is the main reason that reduces HVAC performance. Leaks from natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) pipelines may pose an immediate fire/explosion hazard to workers and facilities.

The use of refrigerant leak detectors makes it possible to guard against the dangers of refrigerant gas and also to ensure proper equipment operation, ensure productivity, and reduce operating costs of cold generation installations. Leak detection, and more broadly the control of refrigerants, respond to various challenges in all areas of the refrigeration industry.
