The Druck 4Sight2 Standard On-Premise Calibration Software is equipped with an array of tools, features and functions designed to improve the flow and analysis of information collected by compatible Druck products such as the DPI611, DPI612, DPI620 Genii and DPI620-IS Genii Portable Calibrators, the DPI620 PC and DPI620S PC Calibration Packages, and the PACE6000, PACE5000 and PACE1000 Controllers/ Indicators. Seamless integration with these tools facilitates automatic task downloads and result uploads, reducing the need for manual input.

The Druck 4Sight2 Standard On-Premise Calibration Software can also be used to monitor the condition of these assets as well as manage calibration cycles and plan maintenance tasks, thereby reducing overall downtime, as well as the time and effort spent organising these processes.

The Druck 4Sight2 Standard On-Premise Calibration Software’s new features have been included to enhance its flexibility, adaptability and ease-of-operation. Further to this, it can be provided as a SaaS (Software as a Service) solution, allowing it to be accessed by individuals with the correct credentials from any internet browser, eliminating the problems that often derive from issues with software-, location- and PC-compatibility. This also reduces costs associated with server support, upgrade management and data backup.

Additionally, the Druck 4Sight2 Standard On-Premise Calibration Software can be accessed via a PDA or smartphone using the Mobile module (see ‘PDA and Mobile’ section below), allowing companies to transfer to paperless systems.

Alternatively, if the Druck 4Sight2 Standard On-Premise Calibration Software cannot be installed as an internet-hosted solution, it is possible to install this system onto a company server.

As mentioned above, the Druck 4Sight2 Standard On-Premise Calibration Software can be used to manage maintenance work and calibration cycles through all stages beginning with planning and resource allocation through to data capture and post-work assessment and reporting.

As the Druck 4Sight2 Standard On-Premise Calibration Software is able to provide automated planning procedures, the time and effort required for administration and management tasks are reduced. Furthermore, also adding to the ease, efficiency and convenience of this system is its flexible filter options which allow technicians to see work relevant to their site/ sites. This provides technicians with clear work orders, thereby ensuring that relevant duties are conducted in a timely manner.

Deviation Management

The causes of deviations can be recorded, investigated and ultimately resolved. The Druck 4Sight2 Standard On-Premise Calibration Software allows the user to keep a record of this process ensuring that there is a clear audit trail in place which demonstrates a rigid solution to managing deviations, as well as strict procedures for corrective and preventative action (CAPA).

Further to this, the Druck 4Sight2 Standard On-Premise Calibration Software is designed to alert the user/ users via email in a timely and controlled manner if an asset fails calibration.

Email Alerts

It is possible to program the Druck 4Sight2 Standard On-Premise Calibration Software to issue an email alert in response to detected deviations. An email is sent to the specified ‘responsible owner’, who must then complete a report which is sent as a PDF attachment with a copy of the calibration sheet in an ‘Entered Deviation’ email.

When calibrations require a second signature a ‘Verified Deviation Report’ email is sent after verification, followed by a ‘Clear Deviation’ report, the final email.

It is possible to assign ‘responsible owners’ to various types of email alerts; for instance, an individual can be set as the specified recipient of the ‘Calibrations Due’ email report. This document will alert the 'responsible owner' to the assets that require or will require calibrations within a given time period; for example, the Druck 4Sight2 Standard On-Premise Calibration Software could be programmed to send this email to the specified individual at the beginning of each month.

PDAs and Mobiles

The Druck 4Sights Standard On-Premise Calibration Software’s Mobile module facilitates the user’s ability to record maintenance and calibration actions in the field via his/her smartphone or PDA. This allows companies to move to a paperless system.

This Mobile module works in conjunction with the Druck 4Sight2 Standard On-Premise Calibration Software’s other features; for instance, if an asset fails calibration, the technician will enter this information into his/her phone and when he/she synchronises his/her phone with the Druck 4Sight2 Standard On-Premise Calibration Software  a deviation email alert will be sent to the specified ‘responsible owner’.

Traceability for Reference Standards

As mentioned in the ‘Performance Management’ section, the Druck 4Sight2 Standard On-Premise Calibration Software continually updates KPIs. One such KPI is the reference standards used during calibrations; these standards are traceable to instruments and work orders. Monitoring these reference standards allows managers to see when references are due for calibration and/or are found to be out-of-tolerance.

If issues with reference standards are detected, the user can generate a ‘Reference Used Report’ which will alert him/her to all the assets calibrated using the faulty reference standard. This allows the user to affect the necessary reparations quickly and effectively.  

The Druck 4Sight2 Standard On-Premise Calibration Software, therefore, provides managers with a robust system for managing failed references as will be expected by auditors.

21 CFR Part 11 Compliant

GE Druck 4Sight2 Standard On-Premise Calibration Software’s 21 CFR Part 11 module ensures that the user is able to maintain the data integrity, security and audit trails required for compliance with 21 CFR Part 11. Compliance with 21 CFR Party 11 is mandatory for many regulated industries.

It is possible to adapt sections of the Druck 4Sight2 Standard On-Premise Calibration Software for compliance with 21 CFR Part 11. This can be achieved by adding a requirement for an electronic signature to the relevant sections and/or a requirement for users to record before and after values, timestamps, and reasons for actions in the audit trail, ensuring full traceability.

Historical Trending

The Historical Trending module facilitates the Druck 4Sight2 Standard On-Premise Calibration Software’s ability to monitor an asset's performance over time. As a result, this module can be used to predict failures and problems, plan preventative actions, and extend calibration intervals, thereby optimising process efficiency and reducing downtime as well as maintenance costs.

In addition to this, the Historical Trending module can be used to determine the most reliable and cost-effective instruments and manufactures, again, enabling the user to optimise the efficiency, yield and precision of his/her processes.

Interval Analysis

The Interval Analysis module is particularly useful for calibration managers trying to increase calibration intervals. This module will make recommendations based on the scientific analysis of an asset’s historical data and drift, eliminating the possibility of miscalculation and transcription errors whilst improving the efficiency of this task.
