HD Electric DDVM-40 DoubleVision Dual Display Voltmeter Kits

The HD Electric DDVM-40 DoubleVision Dual Display Voltmeter Kits vary in regards to their included accessories (see the ‘What’s Included?’ section). Each of these kits includes an HD Electric DDVM-40 DoubleVision Dual Display Voltmeter and Phasing Set designed for measuring voltages between 5V and 40kV. HD Electric DDVM-40 DoubleVision Dual Display Voltmeter Description

As mentioned above the HD Electric DDVM-40 DoubleVision Dual Display Voltmeter functions as both a voltmeter capable of measuring voltages between 5V and 40kV and a phasing set. It is accurate to within 1% of the reading and its two-stick design makes it suitable for both underground and overhead voltage and phasing applications.

The voltage measurement is indicated simultaneously on both the HD Electric DDVM-40 DoubleVision Dual Display Voltmeter’s oversized, bright, synchronised LED displays. These displays can be easily read from a distance or in bright conditions. Each unit is equipped with a battery monitor and an Auto Shut Off function designed to conserve power when the instrument is idle.

The HD Electric DDVM-40 DoubleVision Dual Display Voltmeter can be used take line-to-line, line-to-ground, test-point-to-ground and test-point-to-test-point measurements; as such, it includes several functions designed to facilitate these measurements including a Capacitive Test Point mode and a Peak Hold mode.

Voltage and Phasing Mode

This mode can be used to measure line-to-line and line-to-ground voltages. (Secondary voltages starting at 5V; primary voltages up to 40kV)

Capacitive Test Point Mode

This mode is designed for phasing and measuring voltages from elbow test points. It can be used to ascertain test-point-to-ground and test-point-to-test-point measurements. When this mode is engaged, a ‘TP’ is visible on the display.

Cable Fault Mode

When the HD Electric DDVM-40 DoubleVision Dual Display Voltmeter is used with the HD Electric CFT-35 Cable Fault Tester (included in Kit 3), this mode can be used to test leakage current in underground primary voltage cables.

Peak Hold Mode

When placed in this mode the HD Electric DDVM-40 DoubleVision Dual Display Voltmeter will freeze the highest reading to the display. When this mode is engaged an ‘H’ is visible on the display.

The HD Electric DDVM-40 DoubleVision Dual Display Voltmeter’s Default mode indicates readings in real-time; Peak Hold mode overrides this mode.  

All the HD Electric DDVM-40 DoubleVision Dual Display Voltmeter’s modes can be accessed using its simple, single-button interface. Also adding to this instrument’s practicality is its lightweight, weather-resistant, high-strength moulded housing: the HD Electric DDVM-40 DoubleVision Dual Display Voltmeter can be used in tight work environments as well as with storm duty during disaster relief.

Additionally, the HD Electric DDVM-40 DoubleVision Dual Display Voltmeter has been constructed to include dual hotstick connections, facilitating the attachment of universal splines and shotgun sticks.
