HD Electric PT-DVI Proof Tester for DVI Voltage Indicators

The HD Electric PT-DVI Proof Tester is designed for proving HD Electric DVI-100 and DVI-500 Digital Voltage Indicators.

When the HD Electric PT-DVI Proof Tester’s ‘TEST’ button is pressed and held it will provide a high AC voltage. A functioning HD Electric DVI-500 will indicate this voltage as being between 0.2 and 0.5kV; a properly functioning HD Electric DVI-100 will indicate this voltage as being between 1.5 and 4.5kV. HD Electric DVI Digital Voltage Indicators that do not indicate a voltage should not be used and should be returned for service.

To test the user must hold the HD Electric PT-DVI Proof Tester in one hand and the HD Electric DVI Digital Voltage Indicator in the other; the DVI Indicator’s probe should be applied to the HD Electric PT-DVI Proof Tester’s metal endplate. The ‘TEST’ button is pressed and held (as mentioned above).

Hand positioning can affect readings; for the best results, both units should be held tightly with the user’s fingers wrapped around each unit.
