HD Electric VWS-20 V-Watch Personal Voltage Detector – Next Generation

The HD Electric VWS-20 V-Watch Personal Voltage Detector is HD Electric’s updated version of the HD Electric V-Watch Personal Voltage Detector. This model differs from its predecessor in that it includes a built-in lanyard that can be adjusted to ensure the detector is carried at mid-chest height and also features an automatic self-test which commences each time the HD Electric VWS-20 V-Watch Personal Voltage Detector is activated. It is designed to alert the user to the proximity of electrical fields and energised electrical equipment using audible and visual alerts. When an electrical source is detected, the HD Electric VWS-20 V-Watch Personal Voltage Detector’s lights begin to flash and it sounds a loud alarm, both these indications are directed upwards towards the user ensuring they cannot be missed.

As the user gets closer to the electrical hazard the frequency of the alarms increases. Initial warning distances increase as voltages increase; the typical initial warning distance for a 4kV AC conductor is approximately seven feet (2.13m).

This compact, lightweight high voltage detector features a rugged housing that protects it against the effects of temperature, dust and water. Its three field-replaceable AAA batteries are housed within a sealed compartment. The HD Electric VWS-20 V-Watch Personal Voltage Detector also features a low battery indicator.
