Efficiency and accuracy are at the forefront of the Kern ABP Premium Analytical Balance’s design, to this end, it includes a number of features intended to improve the speed and precision of measurements.
New Ionisation Technology
The ioniser fan can be engaged at the touch of a button; this fan can be used to neutralise electrostatic charge for fixed installations in the analytical balance. This increases the speed and convenience of the ionisation process.
Latest Single-cell Generation Technology
The weighing cell is constructed from one piece of material and is fully automatic. It is shock-proof and features a high corner load performance; it also has a short stabilisation time and ensures stable temperatures. As a result, accurate weights are displayed in a fraction of the time compared to other similar models.
Automatic Internal Adjustment
Ensures the balance remains accurate and independent of its location by verifying its precision every four hours and accommodating for changes in temperature (≥ 1°C). The time interval can be adjusted by the user; this is particularly useful for applications that do not require verification.
Multi-function Weighting Plate
The Kern ABP Premium Analytical Balance is supplied with a multi-function weighing plate designed to limit the effects of air currents, as well as hold protruding items, such as sample paper, PCR containers and microcentrifuge tubes, in place; this improves repeatability as well as stabilisation times.
GLP/ ISO Record Keeping
Maintain a professional and detailed GLP protocol to ensure that the Kern ABP Premium Analytical Balance is compliant with relevant ISO, GLP and GMP requirements.

Programmable User Settings
The Kern ABP Premium Analytical Balance can be configured to include user settings for up to ten individuals. These settings consist of the operator’s user-name, user-number, password, profile and menu language. The operator’s user-name and user-number can be added to process records and/or printed on documentation. It is possible to access a particular user's settings by scanning a barcode. Authorised users are able to adjust the balance, settings and recipes; however, it is possible for non-authorised operators to use the scale (without the aforementioned privileges) in guest mode.
Measurements are indicated on the bright OLED display with a large viewing angle ensuring that readings can be seen from a majority of angles and in poor lighting conditions. Weights can be outputted automatically to a PC or printer each time the balance is steady. It is possible to connect the Kern ABP Premium Analytical Balance to a PC, printer, tablet, barcode scanner or numeric keypad using its USB and RS-232 data interfaces.
The minimum weight of a sample can be saved to the Kern ABP Premium Analytical Balance. When the scale detects a weight lower than this value it will issue a warning message. Furthermore, the Kern ABP Premium Analytical Balance includes a combined tare/ print function which automatically numbers recipe ingredients and prints them with their corresponding weight.
In addition to the above measurement functions, the Kern ABP Premium Analytical Balance includes a Dosage Aid which consists of a high-stability mode and other filter settings.
Finally, the Kern ABP Premium Analytical Balance is equipped with a large glass draught shield with three sliding doors enabling easy access to the items being weighed. The Kern ABP Premium Analytical Balance is also supplied with a protective working cover.
