The Kern IFS-M Industrial Dual-Range Counting Scales can be purchased with an OPTIONAL Kern DAkkS calibration and/or Kern MIII verification.

DAkkS calibrations serve as the German alternative to UKAS calibrations and ensure compliance with European standards. They are internationally recognised.

An MIII verification is required if the scales are intended for commercial use within EU member states. It ensures compliance with the EU directive 2014/31/EEC. An MIII verification is required if the Kern IFS-M Industrial Dual-Range Counting Scales are to be used in any of the following capacities:

• Determining the price of a commodity (as in commercial trading)
• Manufacturing pharmaceuticals in pharmacies
• Analysing pharmaceuticals in medical and/ or pharmaceutical laboratories
• In any official capacity
• During the production of pre-packaging
• During medical applications

The Kern IFS-M Industrial Dual-Range Counting Scales consist of an industry standard weighing plate and a display unit connected to the scale via a cable.

These rugged scales are suitable for industrial applications and feature a variety of measurement functions to cater for a vast majority of applications. The Kern IFS-M Industrial Dual-Range Counting Scales include:

• Pieces Counting: manual reference weight optimisation improves the accuracy of the average value of each piece weight
• Totalising: the weights of pieces are added together and the total value is printed
• Percentage Determination: calculates the percentage deviation between the actual weight and the target weight (100%)
• Checkweighing: programmable upper and lower limits; when limits are breached the scales will issue an audible and visual alert

Results can be saved to the Kern IFS-M Industrial Dual-Range Counting Scales’ internal memories. These instruments have the capacity to store up to one-hundred records. The user is able to save values such as reference weights, reference quantity and the container weight (pre-tare).

Weights can also be sent to a compatible Kern printer (NOT included, see ‘Accessories’) or to the user’s PC via the RS-232 interface.

Results are viewable via the ergonomic display unit with three high-contrast displays. Via this unit, the user can view weights such as the tare weight and reference weight, as well as the limit values. Using this unit the operator can also see the user ID and date and time.

Finally, the Kern IFS-M Industrial Dual-Range Counting Scales are supplied with a protective working cover and a mains adapter. It is possible to power these instruments using an integrated, rechargeable battery pack (NOT included, see ‘Accessories’); the battery pack MUST be bought at the time of purchase.
