The Kern WTB-NM Food Weighing Bench Scales are available in five models that differ in regards to their measurement ranges; please see the table below for further details.

The Kern WTB-NM Food Weighing Bench Scales differ from their sister products, the Kern WTB-N Food Weighing Bench Scales, in that they can be purchased with an OPTIONAL MIII verification and/or a DAkkS calibration (MUST be ordered at the time of purchase, see ‘Accessories’). This means that the Kern WTB-NM Food Weighing Bench Scales are suitable for commercial applications within EU member states.

An MIII Verification ensures compliance with the standards specified in the EU directive 2014/31/EEC, ensuring that the scales are suitable for use in any of the following capacities within EU member states:

• Commercial trading where weight is used to determine the price of a commodity
• Manufacture of pharmaceuticals within pharmacies
• Analysing pharmaceuticals in pharmaceutical and medical laboratories
• During medical applications
• In any official capacity
• During the production of pre-packaging

The user MUST obtain an MIII Verification (see ‘Accessories’) in order to use the Kern WTB-NM Food Weighing Bench Scales within EU member states in any of the capacities listed above.

These scales can also be purchased with a DAkkS Calibration (see ‘Accessories’). This internationally recognised calibration ensures compliance with European standards. It is the German equivalent of a UKAS calibration.

The Kern WTB-NM Food Weighing Bench Scales are ideal for use in the food industry. They are HACCP-compliant and extremely hygienic.

When purchased with an OPTIONAL rechargeable battery pack (see ‘Accessories’), the Kern WTB-NM Food Weighing Bench Scales are equipped with an IP65 protection against dust and water damage.

The Kern WTB-NM Food Weighing Bench Scales’ capacity to support rechargeable battery operation, as well as their compact, lightweight design and recessed grips on their undersides, ensures that they are extremely practical and can be transported between and across worksites.

Further to this, the Kern WTB-NM Food Weighing Bench Scales feature two LCD displays (located on the front and rear of the unit) with a digit-height of 25mm and a weighing plate with the following dimensions: 260 x 200 x 16.2mm.

It is possible to program the Kern WTB-NM Food Weighing Bench Scales to display measurements in the unit of the user’s choice. Stable measurements are indicated within two seconds and the Kern WTB-NM Food Weighing Bench Scales include a Checkweighing function for help with portioning, dosing and grading.

Using the Checkweighing function the operator can program the Kern WTB-NM Food Weighing Bench Scales to include upper and lower measurement units. The colour (green, yellow or red) of the display will change to indicate whether the determined weight is within, above or below the measurement range.
