Suitable for use with both commercial and domestic microwave ovens, the Martindale TEK500 allows measurements of overall microwave leakage and complies with all national standards for permitted exposure levels.
The device is used by passing it over the microwave oven in order to check for overall levels of leakage present in the oven. This microwave leakage detector uses LED indication to show the status of detected leakage and will display a yellow LED when leakage levels at 1mW/cm2 are detected (below safety limit). When dangerous levels are detected at 5 and 10mW/cm2 the device will emit an audible tone and shine a red LED to indicate that current leakage levels are above the recommended safety limit.
This microwave leakage detector kit also ships ships as standard with a beaker and a digital thermometer to allow users to carry out measurements of internal oven heat, allowing the user to determine easily if the oven is heating correctly.
The Martindale TEK500 is recommended for use at 50mm away from the targeted microwave oven.
