The upgraded version of Megger's MIT480, the MIT481 has wider measurement range, plus additional features that make it superior to the entry-level product in Megger's MIT480 series.

A portable, easy-to-use and accurate insulation tester specifically designed for use in the telecommunications industry, the MIT481 can test insulation using test voltages of 50 - 100V (also available on the MIT480) and also has exclusive-to-this-model test voltages of 250V and 500V. This gives the MIT481 wider insulation measurement range up to 200GΩ, a vast improvement on the MIT480's 10GΩ.

With the MIT481 in hand you can also test frequency levels from 15 to 400Hz, capacitance from 0.1nF to 10μF and true RMS AC voltage to 600V. A built-in continuity test is also included with variable current limit of 200mA/20mA, fast buzzer with selectable threshold and kΩ range to 999kΩ.

Perhaps the most major difference between this product and the MIT480 is the inclusion of on-board memory. This feature allows the user to store up to 1000 records directly on the tester, making it much easier to keep track of your records (please note that the MIT481 is non-downloadable; the upgraded version, the MIT485, comes with Bluetooth download).
