Megger PMM-2 Power Multimeter

The Megger PMM-2 Power Multimeter is a next generation multifunction instrument suitable for testing substations and commissioning electrical gear. Unique software and an integrated microprocessor-based timer ease the testing and commissioning of protective relay systems, including induction unit pickup and timing tests. The internal timer responds to a variety of start and stop gates such as the application of AC or DC voltage and the opening and closing of dry contacts.

The Megger PMM-2 Power Multimeter measures:

  • AC/DC voltage and current
  • Primary and secondary voltage and current
  • Power
  • Reactive power
  • Power factor
  • Phase angle
  • Frequency of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems
  • Simultaneous harmonic measurement (up to the 50th) on all selected voltages or currents

It delivers accurate phase angle measurements at low current which may be displayed as either lagging or leading angles. Furthermore, any voltage or current transformer ratio up to 9999:1 or 9999:5 may be input into the Megger PMM-2 Power Multimeter eliminating the need for result conversions.

Four isolated voltage and current channels allow you to measure up to four voltages and four currents simultaneously. Alternatively, you can measure eight currents at the same time. Moreover, the fourth channels may be used to measure neutral current and a polarising or synchronising voltage.

The Megger PMM-2 Power Multimeter can be used in single-phase mode and three-phase mode. In single-phase mode, the Megger PMM-2 Power Multimeter measures the amplitude and phase angle between any two voltage and current inputs, displaying the results in an enlarged font size for easy reading. In three-phase mode, all measured parameters (voltage, current, phase angle, power, reactive power, power factor, and frequency) are displayed simultaneously on the Megger PMM-2 Power Multimeter’s large, colour, touchscreen TFT LCD with multicoloured graphics. Intuitive navigation ensures the Megger PMM-2 Power Multimeter is easy to use.

Data can be stored in the Megger PMM-2 Power Multimeter’s non-volatile memory. Offering a sampling rate of 28.8 k samples/second and a 64GB memory, the Megger PMM-2 Power Multimeter can store over sixty-minutes worth of data. The Megger PMM-2 Power Multimeter can be programmed to store data automatically, for instance, it may be set to capture motor starting currents, voltages, and power for analysis. You can also specify a date and time for starting and stopping logging.

In addition to measurements, setup screens and reports may be saved to the Megger PMM-2 Power Multimeter’s integrated memory which reduces both testing time and paperwork. The Megger PMM-2 Power Multimeter also includes a built-in report generator, once again improving efficiency.

Finally, the Megger PMM-2 Power Multimeter is housed in a rugged, ergonomic, lightweight plastic case with an automatic built-in charger. The Megger PMM-2 Power Multimeter can be line or battery-operated.

The Megger PMM-2 Power Multimeter is a compact, comprehensive multifunction instrument.
