Megger DLRO10HD Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeter Description
The Megger DLRO10Hd Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeter is a highly resilient, rugged instrument capable of performing ducter tests; that is measuring very low contact resistance. The Megger DLRO10HD Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeter can perform ducter tests on any metallic joint, including those present in railways and aircraft.
It features new interchangeable test lead terminations and a multitude of measurement functions all accessible via the simple-to-use rotary switch. These five measurement functions are:
- Auto Start on Connection mode: each time the probes are disconnected and then reconnected to any item under test, the ohmmeter will perform a new test automatically. This mode derives and displays the average resistance reading by measuring the forward and reverse currents, and is ideal when using handspikes.
- Normal mode: this mode checks the continuity of all four of the attached connections. The ohmmeter will issue a forward and backward current, enabling it to check and display the continuity of the four points connected to the ohmmeter via the four test lead connections.
- Automatic Unidirectional mode: allows the user to take swifter measurements by issuing a single direction current.
- Continuous mode: takes repeat measurements of the same sample; these measurements are updated every three seconds until the circuit is broken.
- Inductive mode: this mode passes a single direction current through the object under testing and will continue to take readings until the user has decided that the test object’s voltage has stabilised. Once the user has decided a stable voltage has been reached he/she can press the TEST button to terminate the test. This mode is ideal for testing motors and generators.
The Megger DLRO10HD Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeter’s tests last for up to sixty seconds. It reduces cooling time and makes charging inductance more efficient by issuing 10A for sixty seconds; it can also deliver 10 A into 250 mΩ and 1A into 2.5 Ω. Moreover, the Megger DLRO10HD Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeter can be used to perform condition diagnostics as it is capable of issuing a high or low output power.
This product has been optimised to be as versatile and easy-to-use as possible, its Auto-Power-Off function allows the user to conserve battery life thereby extending the Megger DLRO10HD’s longevity. However should the rechargeable battery run flat, the Megger DLRO10HD Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeter can be connected to a line power supply allowing this product to remain functional.
Furthermore, this low resistance ohmmeter is extremely rugged, not only has it been designed to withstand 600V without blowing a fuse, which also protects it from damage should it accidentally be connected to line or UPS voltage, it also features a Test Lead Live voltage warning light. In addition to this, the Megger DLRO10HD is housed in a robust case, protecting it from the elements and falls of up to 1m. For more information about the Megger DLRO10HD’s rugged design please consult the video below.
Finally, the Megger DLRO10HD Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeter features a large, clear, backlit LCD display ensuring its measurements can be read from a multitude of angles and in a variety of environments, thereby making this product an extremely practical, versatile and efficient instrument.
