The Micronics U1000MKII-HM Fixed Ultrasonic Flow/ Energy Meter is a clamp-on ultrasound flow meter and a flow- and return-temperature measuring solution. To this end, it is supplied with PT100 temperature sensors. The Micronics U1000MKII-HM Fixed Ultrasonic Flow/ Energy Meter also includes a pulse output and is available with OPTIONAL Modbus OR M-Bus outputs. The Micronics U1000MKII-HM Fixed Ultrasonic Flow/ Energy Meter can be used as a standalone meter or as part of an integrated management system such as aM&T or BEM systems.

Utilising ultrasonic transit-time technology, the Micronics U1000MKII-HM Fixed Ultrasonic Flow/ Energy Meter can perform accurate, non-invasive flow measurements. It can measure flow between 0.1m/s and 10m/s (0.3ft/s and 32ft/s) to an accuracy of ±1% to ±3% (for 0.3m/s/ 1ft/s). The Micronics U1000MKII-HM Fixed Ultrasonic Flow/ Energy Meter works by simultaneously transmitting ultrasound in both directions between the clamp-on transducers. When ultrasound is emitted in the direction of the flow the sound is accelerated; however, when it is emitted against the direction of the flow the sound is decelerated. The time difference between the emitted ultrasounds is directly proportional to the flow velocity. The pipe’s cross-sectional area and flow velocity can be used to calculate the volumetric flow.

Additionally, the Micronics U1000MKII-HM Fixed Ultrasonic Flow/ Energy Meter’s PT100 temperature sensors can measure flow and return temperatures between 0°C and 85°C to a resolution of 0.1°C. Measurements, including energy rate and totalised energy, as well as installation and service information, are visible via the backlit LCD display.

Finally, the Micronics U1000MKII-HM Fixed Ultrasonic Flow/ Energy Meter is simple to install. The user needs only connect the Micronics U1000MKII-HM Fixed Ultrasonic Flow/ Energy Meter to the power, enter the pipe’s material and inner diameter, adjust the sensors, and clamp onto the pipe.
