The PanelPilot SGD 35-M 3.5” Programmable Voltmeter Display is able to support a multitude of voltmeter-type configurations, allowing the user to tailor the unit to the application. It can be configured using the free PanelPilot Software which includes a number of these configurations; additional meter-type configurations can be downloaded from PanelPilot’s subscription service.

The standard, free PanelPilot Software can be used to program the following parameters:

  • Meter type
  • Text labels (including units and graph labels)
  • Background
  • Graphs and graph segments (bar, tank style, analogue style and trend graphs are available)
  • Text colours
  • Input scaling/ calibration (at two points)
  • Decimal points (entered during scaling)
  • Splashscreen image (the user can select an image, for instance, a logo, to appear upon start-up)

The PanelPilot SGD 35-M 3.5” Programmable Voltmeter Display is connected to the user’s PC via a ‘Type A to Mini-B’ USB cable; completed configurations are uploaded to the panel meter via this connection. Uploading and affecting the configuration takes approximately fifteen seconds.

The PanelPilot SGD 35-M 3.5” Programmable Voltmeter Display can measure voltages between 0 and 40V DC. Measurements are retained on the panel meter’s screen using the Display Hold function. To ensure that all measurements are indicated to the best possible resolution, the PanelPilot SGD 35-M 3.5” Programmable Voltmeter Display is equipped with Programmable Gain Amplifiers (PGAs). This panel meter will select the smallest possible range that is able to accommodate both input voltages entered during scaling. The maximum input voltage supported by this display is 40V DC. Each of the PanelPilot SGD 35-M 3.5” Programmable Voltmeter Display’s channels can be programmed separately and can support up to eight input voltage ranges.

Readings are viewable via the PanelPilot SGD 35-M 3.5” Programmable Panel Meter’s 3.5”, colour, TFT display with a resistive touchscreen. The display has a 16-bit colour depth and a 320 x 240px resolution. Any graphics uploaded to the PanelPilot SGD 35-M 3.5” Programmable Voltmeter Display are automatically converted to a specification supported by the screen.

The PanelPilot SGD 35-M 3.5” Programmable Voltmeter Display can be installed on panels that are 1-3mm deep using the panel fixing clip and four screw terminals. To ensure better installation on thin panels, the PanelPilot SGD 35-M 3.5” Programmable Voltmeter Display is supplied with a silicone seal.

The PanelPilot SGD 35-M 3.5” Programmable Voltmeter Display is also supplied with a DIL IDC socket which provides an alternative to screw connections, allowing the user to adapt the panel meter to his/ her requirements.

Also adding to the versatility and longevity of the PanelPilot SGD 35-M 3.5” Programmable Voltmeter Display is the included provisions for future expansion using data buses and alarm outputs.
