The torque testing of bottles, jars and other screw-top packagings is the primary purpose of these gauges. This makes the Sauter DA Torque Gauges ideal for use in the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.
The Sauter DA Torque Gauges can be used to torque test a range of product packagings, from lipsticks to jars of pasta sauce, to bottles of medication. This is because the Sauter DA Torque Gauges feature a quick pin system that allows the user to configure the gauge to accommodate the size of the test objects. This is achieved by pushing in, rather than screwing in, four bottle mounts/ holders. The four bottle mounts supplied with the Sauter DA Torque Gauges feature a rubber coat to ensure a good grip on the test object.
In addition to this, the Sauter DA Torque Gauges feature anti-slip, rubber feet, again ensuring that the instrument remains sturdy and steady during testing.
Further to this, the Sauter DA Torque Gauges feature a metal housing to protect them from rough environments. They also include an LCD graphics display with a backlight. Via the display, the user can view both numerical readings and the remaining measurement range, which is indicated by an illuminated bar on the display.
Other measurement functions present on the Sauter DA Torque Gauges include:
Moreover, the Sauter DA Torque Gauges can be used to calculate statistical data such as the average reading and the standard deviation. Measurements acquired and calculated by the Sauter DA Torque Gauges can be saved to their internal memories. These instruments have the capacity to save up to 500 readings. Data can be transferred from the Sauter DA Torque Gauges’ memories to the user’s PC via the USB and RS-232 interfaces and using an OPTIONAL Sauter PC software program (see 'Accessories').
When conducting torque tests the user can switch between measurement units via the touch of a button; he/she is also able to perform these tests in both directions of rotation.
Finally, as well as the Sauter DA Torque Gauges’ extensive measurement capabilities and functions, they also include an Auto-Off function. This feature works to preserve the instruments’ battery life. The Sauter DA Torque Gauges are supplied with integrated rechargeable battery packs that can provide the testers with up to eighteen hours of power (without backlight).
The Sauter DA Torque Gauges are versatile, adaptable and practical torque testing instruments. They are suitable for use in a variety of industries, including cosmetic, food and pharmaceutical.
