These instruments function as digital torque meters and like their sister products, the Sauter DB Torque Gauges, they are optimised for testing the torque of cordless screwdrivers, electric screwdrivers and torque wrenches. Like their sister products, they feature a pick-up system for the dynamic testing of electric screwdrivers, can perform torque tests in both directions of rotation, and they feature a metal casing ensuring that they too can be used in rugged environments. However; these higher range models, unlike the lower range DB Gauges, are each supplied with a (one) mounting plate to ensure that they are unmovably fixed during testing.

The Sauter DB Torque Gauges with Mounting Plates include a number of measurement units, which the user can change between at the touch of a button, as well as an array of measurement functions, including:

• Peak Hold: retains the maximum measurement read
• Track: the measurement indicated on the display is continually updated ensuring that the gauge is always showing the most current reading
• Alarm: it is possible to configure these gauges to include high and low alarms; when triggered the gauge will issue a visible and audible alert
• Statistics: this function can be used to calculate the average value and the standard deviation

This array of measurement units and measurement functions allow the user to tailor the Sauter DB Torque Gauges with Mounting Plates to the application, ensuring he/she is able to attain the most relevant reading.

Measurements are indicated on the Sauter DB Torque Gauges with Mounting Plates’ backlit, LCD, graphic display. In addition to numerical readings, via the display, the user can see a capacity bar that indicates the remaining measuring range.

Data can be saved to the Sauter DB Torque Gauges with Mounting Plates’ extensive internal memories. They have the capacity to store up to five-hundred measurements. Saved information can be downloaded to the user’s PC via the gauges’ RS-232 and USB interfaces and an OPTIONAL Sauter PC software program (see ‘Accessories’).

Finally, these instruments are supplied with an integrated battery pack that is able to supply the gauge with up to eighteen hours of power (with the backlight off). Alternatively, these instruments can be powered using the included mains adapter, allowing the user to tailor the Sauter DB Torque Gauges with Mounting Plates to the situation, whilst also reducing downtime.
