The Sauter SU 130 Professional Sound Meter can be used to measure noise intensity within workplaces. This sound meter is able to differentiate between normal noise influences and excessive noise influences making it suitable for use in the car industry and production halls, particularly when measuring the sound levels of mechanical applications. As this instrument is designed for use in rugged environments it is supplied with a robust carrying case.
Additionally, the Sauter SU 130 Professional Sound Meter features an RS-232 output. When used with an RS-232 cable (NOT included), measurements can be transferred from the Sauter SU 130 Professional Sound Meter to a PC. The Sauter SU 130 Professional Sound Meter has the capacity to store up to thirty measurements.
The Sauter SU 130 Professional Sound Meter also features a number of measurement modes and functions including:
Peak Hold mode: records the maximum value detected over the course of a measurement period
Track function: continually records readings throughout the measurement period allowing the user to monitor environmental changes
Limit Value function: set go/ no-go test values; this function is accompanied by an audible and visual alarm
In addition to the above, the Sauter SU 130 Professional Sound Meter includes three operational measuring functions as well as three evaluation modes.
The three operational measuring functions include:
Lp: standard sound measuring
Leq: energy equivalent sound level measuring (type-A)
Ln: measures and indicates the percentage deviation from the pre-programmed target value
The three evaluation modes include:
A: as sensitive as the human ear
C: sensitivity suitable for noisier environments including, for instance, machines, plants and motors
F: sensitivity suitable for areas with perpetual sound intensity
