The Testo 440dP can be combined with a variety of probes to measure, monitor and record an array of air quality parameters including:

It is possible to connect up to three probes to the Testo 440dP Air Velocity and IAQ Tester: one Bluetooth probe, one wired probe and one type-K temperature probe. Each probe is recognised automatically by the Testo 440dP Air Velocity and IAQ Tester, removing the need to adjust parameters each time a probe is connected.

As the Testo 440dP Air Velocity and IAQ Tester can be used with Testo Bluetooth Smart Probes, the user can conduct wireless, remote measurements from a distance of up to 20m. For instance, the Testo Ø100mm Bluetooth Vane Smart Probe/ Data Logger with Temperature Sensor can be used to measure the volume flow of air/ ceiling outlets. Its universal Bluetooth handle enables the wireless transfer of measurements to the Testo 440dP; the user can also start and stop measurements by pressing the handle’s button.

Probe heads can be used interchangeably with the universal Bluetooth handle allowing the user to adapt both the probe and Testo 440dP Air Velocity and IAQ Tester to suit the application. The Testo 440dP Air Flow ComboKit 2 contains a Ø16mm Vane Probe Head that can be connected to the included Testo Extendable 1m Telescope with 90° Angle and then attached to the universal Bluetooth handle (alternatively it can be connected to a cable). The Testo Ø16mm Vane Probe Head with Temperature Sensor can be used to measure the flow velocity, volume flow and temperature of ducts; it features the following measurement ranges: +0.6to +50 m/s and -10°C to +70°C. Moreover, the Testo 440dP Air Flow ComboKit 2 includes a Testo Ø12mm Humidity/ Temperature Probe Head that can be connected to the Bluetooth handle in the same way as the Testo Ø16mm Vane Probe Head. It can be used to measure the relative humidity and air temperature of indoor environments. It is suitable for long-term measurements and features a humidity range of 0 to 100% (accuracy: ±2%) and a temperature range of -20°C to +70°C (±0.5°C).

Additionally, when the aforementioned Testo Ø100mm Bluetooth Vane Smart Probe/ Data Logger is used with the Testo Extendable 1m Telescope with a 90° Angle, the operator is able to access and measure hard-to-reach air/ ceiling outlets without using a ladder. Furthermore, when this probe is combined with funnels and flow straighteners it can be used to measure the incoming and outgoing air at plate outlets, ventilation grilles and swirl outlets. Only the probes used with the Testo 440dP Air Velocity and IAQ Tester need to be sent for calibration, allowing the user to maximise the tester’s uptime.

As well as the aforementioned measurement capabilities, the Testo 440dP Air Velocity and IAQ Tester’s differential pressure sensor is able to conduct funnel, pilot tube (pilot tube NOT included) and K-factor measurements. It is also able to determine volume flow using differential pressure and K-factor. Inclusion of differential pressure sensor also makes the Testo 440dP Air Velocity and IAQ Tester suitable for testing fans and filters, in addition to ducts, air/ ceiling outlets, fume cupboards and air conditioning and ventilation systems.

An intuitive interface with clearly structured measurement menus ensures that the Testo 440dP Air Velocity and IAQ Tester is easy to operate. Additionally, using these menus the operator can program the Testo 440dP Air Velocity and IAQ Tester to calculate volume flow automatically; he/she need only enter the measurement period and intervals. Moreover, the Testo 440dP Air Velocity and IAQ Tester can be configured for long-term, unsupervised monitoring of CO and CO₂ levels (probe dependent); the user need only enter the measurement period and intervals.

The Testo 440dP Air Velocity and IAQ Tester’s magnets hold it in place during long-term monitoring applications. These magnets are also particularly useful when conducting wireless, remote measurements using the Testo Bluetooth Smart Probes/ Data Loggers.

Results are viewable via the Testo 440dP Air Velocity and IAQ Tester’s large, graphic display; the user is able to see up to three parameters in parallel. Additionally, a maximum of 7500 measurement protocols can be saved to the Testo 440dP Air Velocity and IAQ Tester’s internal memory.

Data can be transferred to a PC via a USB connection; once measurements have been uploaded to a PC they can be processed in a CSV file. Alternatively, reports can be sent to print on-site using a Testo Bluetooth/ IRDA Printer (NOT included).
