The Testo 868 Thermal Imaging Camera – 9Hz has can be used to capture thermal images and measure temperature.

This thermal imaging camera is ideal for the following applications:

  • Detecting leaks
  • Identifying overheating connections
  • Locating structural defects and pinpointing thermal bridges
  • Ideal for pipework detection, underfloor heating, radiator and power flushing

As a result, this camera is suitable for maintenance and installation work both within trade and industry.

Its many capabilities and features ensure that the user is able to capture clear images and conduct measurements accurately. It has a FOV of 31° x 23° and an infrared resolution of 160 x 120 pixels with a total of 19200 temperature measuring points. However, when this instrument is used with the integrated Testo SuperResolution technology, the resolution is improved to 320 x 240 pixels.

The Testo 868 Thermal Imaging Camera is able to detect temperatures between -30°C to +100°C and 0°C to +650°C. It will automatically recognise hot and cold spots and will display critical temperature conditions. The Testo 868 Thermal Imaging Camera is able to indicate temperature differences as small as 0.10°C.

Further to this, the Testo ɛ-Assist function will automatically ensure that the camera’s emissivity and reflected temperature are correctly determined and set, adding to the accuracy of the Testo 868's measurements. 

The Testo 868 Thermal Imaging Camera's IFOV warner also works to improve the accuracy and reliability of this instrument. This feature allows the user to view, on the screen, the measurement spot. In this way, the user can view exactly what it is he/she is able to measure thereby minimising the possibility of measurement mistakes.

Another feature present on the Testo 868 Thermal Imaging Camera is the Testo ScaleAssist function; this allows the user to determine the scale of the thermal image, again working to ensure the accuracy as well as the comparability of the thermal images captured using this camera. The integrated digital camera can also be used to verify the thermal image. It captures 'real' images in parallel to the thermal images.

Digital and thermal images captured using the Testo 868 Thermal Imaging Camera may be saved as JPEGs. Alternatively, the user may wirelessly connect the Testo 868 Thermal Imaging Camera to his/her mobile via the WLAN radio module. Using his/her smartphone with the free Testo Thermography App, the user is able to write, send and save reports online. Furthermore, via this app, the user is able to operate his/her thermal camera remotely and may use his/her smart device as a second display.

Alternatively, the user may evaluate the captured images via a PC using the included Pro software.

Finally, the Testo 868 Thermal Imaging Camera is supplied with a carry case allowing the user to transport it easily and safely between worksites.
