The TPI A581 Hotwire Probe is optimised for use with TPI’s DC580 Airflow Meter (NOT included). It can be used with the DC580 to measure air velocity and flow between 0.2 m/s and 20m/s (40 fpm and 3900 fpm).
This probe is particularly well suited to performing the aforementioned measurements inside ducts; its sensor shaft can be extended like an antenna allowing the user to reach hard-to-access spaces.
When performing airflow and air velocity measurements the user should ensure that the white dot is facing the air stream, the temperature sensor is exposed, and the protective hood, covering the air velocity sensor, is all the way down.
The TPI A581 Hotwire Probe for TPI’s DC580 Airflow Meter is an adaptable, easy-to-use, practical accessory. It allows the TPI DC580 Airflow Meter to perform air flow and velocity measurements in difficult-to-reach ducts.
