Protimeter TimberMaster BLD5605 Plus Moisture Meter

The Protimeter TimberMaster BLD5605 Plus Moisture Meter has been optimised for use in the timber industry. It can be used to check moisture levels in a variety of wooden products.

Like the Protimeter TimberMaster BLD5609, the BLD5605 has a measurement range of 7-99.9%; two, non-invasive, ¾ inch (19mm) pin electrodes; and eight built-in calibration scales, ensuring that this product is capable of accurately measuring moisture levels for one-hundred and fifty wood species across the world. Furthermore, like the BLD5609, this product’s design has also been optimised for use in the timber industry, as it too is compact and features a rugged casing and large LCD display.

Similar to the Protimeter TimberMaster BLD5609 Standard Moisture Meter, the BLD5605 Plus Moisture Meter’s scope for use can be further extended when used in conjunction with a telescopic hammer electrode (not included), as this facilitates the Protimeter TimberMaster BLD5605’s ability to take sub-surface moisture levels (to a depth of 30mm/1³/₁₆”) despite the level of surface moisture.

However, unlike the Protimeter TimberMaster BLD5609 Standard Moisture Meter, this wood moisture meter is supplied with a temperature probe, ensuring that this damp meter can also take moisture readings of wood that is significantly above or below 20°C/70°C. When used in conjunction with the temperature probe the Protimeter TimberMaster BLD5605 Plus Moisture Meter automatically adjusts the moisture readings taken from timber above or below 20°C/70°F to compensate for the abnormality in temperature.
