The MX-400 is used to identify the presence of underground and insulated overhead lines. It can work comfortably on any type of power distribution network with voltage rated from 230 to 400 volts and consists of a modulator and a receiver for cable identification.
When under operation the modulator draws a current pulse in 10 millisecond intervals with frequency of 1Hz and the receiver picks upon the passage of these pulses and identifies the cable via a signal light.
In addition to cable identification a set of power cables are included for the identification of cables between phase and neutral. A clamp is also included for phase testing as well.
