The FLIR EV45 EVSE Charge Point Tester (otherwise known as the FLIR EV45 EV Charger Test Adapter) is ideal for testing the functionality and safety of Type 1 and Type 2 (Level 1 and Level 2) electrical vehicle AC charging stations (EVSE) in both residential and commercial settings.
Compliant with both CAT II 300 V and IEC 61851-1 EV safety standards, the FLIR EV45 is fitted with an IEC 62196-2 Type 2 plug and supplied with Type 1 to Type 2 Converter, enabling it to test both types of EV chargers seamlessly.
In addition to this, the FLIR EV45 EVSE Charge Point Tester includes connections that enable FLIR tools, such as the DM286 Digital Multimeter and insulation testers, to be plugged in, expanding the EV45’s testing capabilities. Alongside this, METERLiNK connectivity facilitates communication between FLIR’s EV45 and the METERLiNK app.
Data from METERLiNK-enabled FLIR tools, such as the EV45 and DM286, can be collated in a single location: the METERLiNK app installed on an iOS/Android smartphone/tablet. As multiple meters may be connected to METERLiNK at any one time, various parameters can be monitored and compared simultaneously. Moreover, wireless connection allows professionals to test hard-to-reach or dangerous equipment from a convenient and safe location.
Once collected, data can be organised, trended, and analysed in real time. METERLiNK also allows professionals to create and send reports on site, improving job efficiency and enabling faster, collaborative working.
