The Hanna HI-97728 is an auto-diagnostic portable photometer with an advanced optical system, a light-emitting diode (LED), and a narrow-band interference filter. It also incorporates a positive-locking system that securely positions cuvettes in the holder the same way every time.
The meter applies an adapted Cadmium Reduction Method to measure nitrate content in water. The range covers 0.0 to 30.0 mg/L (ppm). The CAL Check function lets users validate the instrument’s performance, and the CAL Check cuvettes incorporate NIST-traceable standards. The built-in tutorial mode provides step-by-step guidance through the measurement process.
The photometer is also available in a kit, which includes a carrying case to store and transport your equipment.

| PLEASE NOTE: In some cases, samples may contain other parameters which may interfere with results Ammonia and amines, as urea and primary aliphatic amines. Chloride above 100 mg/L (negative interference). Chlorine above 2 mg/L (positive interference). Copper (it must be absent). Interference may be caused by: Iron (III) (positive interference). Strong oxidising and reducing substances. Sulphide (it must be absent). Note: To ensure accurate results, perform the tests at room temperature, between 18 °C and 28°C. For best results, intensely coloured samples or suspended matter in large amounts will cause interference. Therefore sample should be adequately treated before performing the test. |
