The HD Electric PF-50 Cable Identifier is comprised of a transmitter and receiver designed for identifying the correct phases of de-energised, discharged overhead and underground cables. These compact, lightweight instruments can be handheld with or without gloves and can check cables up to 5000 feet/ 1mile in length; this is due to their higher test voltage, 50 VDC.
Additionally, the HD Electric PF-50 Cable Identifier is equipped with large, cooper alligator clips with heavy-duty boots and may be used with OPTIONAL hotsticks.
When both the HD Electric PF-50 Cable Identifier’s transmitter and receiver are connected to the same cable the three super-bright, red LED lights on each unit will illuminate. Each of these instruments also includes a green LED for low battery indication. The HD Electric PF-50 Cable Identifier's receiver and transmitter are powered by field-replaceable 9V lithium/ alkaline batteries.
