There are five versions of the Oil Kit available. These kits differ in regards to the sensor combinations of their Kane 458S Flue Gas Analysers; please see the table below for further information.

Kane 458S Flue Gas Analyser Description

Designed to test domestic gas, oil, biomass and some commercial appliances, the Kane 458S Flue Gas Analysers can perform differential temperature and direct carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO₂) measurements. They also include a structured commissioning test for certifying new boilers in accordance with the Technical Bulletin 143, a high-accuracy differential pressure meter (+/- 80mbar), and are able to calculate oxygen (O₂), CO: CO₂ ratios, excess air and combustion efficiency.

Readings for multiple parameters are displayed simultaneously on the Kane 458S Flue Gas Analyser’s six-line display. Using the Data Hold function, the engineer can freeze the readings on the display. The Kane 458S Flue Gas Analyser also includes a Log & Print function that enables commission test, CO build-up, temperature, combustion, let-by & tightness, and pressure reports to be printed wirelessly using the included Kane IRP-2 Infrared Printer. Reports can be printed with the engineer’s details.

In addition to wireless printing, the Kane 458S Flue Gas Analysers' integrated wireless modules facilitate communication between the FGA and Kane’s Gas Checker and Kane Live apps.

The Kane 458S Flue Gas Analysers' multiple measurement capabilities and functions combined with their compatibility with natural gas, butane, LPG, light oil, wood pellets and propane fuel types, makes them suitable for a variety of applications. The Kane 458S Flue Gas Analyser is also hydrogen (H₂) ready up to 20%. Depending on the model selected, the Kane 458S Flue Gas Analyser can be used for the following applications:

• Installing and servicing domestic oil and gas appliances
• Safety checks (measure the CO in rooms and around appliances)
• Combustion performance checks
• Combustion efficiency checks
• Flue draught

To ensure ease-of-operation, the Kane 458S Flue Gas Analysers include a rotary dial for accessing the required measurement functions.

Furthermore, to ensure longevity the Kane 458S Flue Gas Analysers include CO and CO2 sensor protection, purge pump protection to prevent accidental damage to the CO sensor, and upgradeable sensor technology.
