The Megger EZ-Thump 4 kV is a compact, high-energy fault location solution developed for low-voltage (LV) power networks. The system delivers a single-stage 500 J surge at 4.0 kV, an integrated time-domain reflectometer (TDR) with a range of up to 7.6 km, and Arc Reflection Method (ARM) testing. Sheath fault testing and sheath fault location are also supported.

The Easy Go test system simplifies testing by guiding the user through each stage and automatically interpreting results. Automatic end-of-cable and fault detection reduces setup time, while a transflective colour display provides clear visibility in varied lighting conditions. The EZ-Thump 4 kV incorporates the F-OHM high-voltage interlock to verify correct earthing before testing is permitted. The unit supports both AC mains and internal battery operation, and weighs 32 kg.
