Metrel MI3152ES EurotestXC Multifunction Installation Tester – Lite/ Entry Set Description

The Metrel MI3152ES EurotestXC Multifunction Installation Tester – Lite/ Entry Set is an entry-level multifunction installation tester kit: it includes the Metrel MI3152 EurotestXC Multifunction Installation Tester and a limited selection of accessories (please see the ‘What’s Included?’ section for further details).

The Metrel MI3152ES EurotestXC Multifunction Installation Tester can be used to check the installation, functionality and safety of EVSE. To this end, it can test EV RCDs and features EVSE AUTO SEQUENCES and functions enabling the user to check every aspect of EV charging stations state-by-state at the push of a button.

In addition to this, the Metrel MI3152ES EurotestXC Multifunction Installation Tester can check TN, TT and IT earthing systems and features four automatic test sequences for this purpose. Furthermore, it is equipped with a variety of measurement procedures and tests:

  • Insulation resistance with a DC test voltage ranging from 50V to 1000V
  • Varistor test
  • Continuity of PE conductors with 200mA DC test current with automatic polarity change
  • Continuity of PE conductors with 7mA test current without RCD tripping
  • Loop impedance

The Metrel MI3152ES EurotestXC Multifunction Installation Tester is able to monitor all three voltages simultaneously and is equipped with integrated fuse tables for the automatic evaluation of loop and line impedance results; this function is particularly useful when checking EVSE.

The Metrel MI3152ES EurotestXC Multifunction Installation Tester also features automatic RCD testing procedures designed to improve the ease and efficiency of measurements. Also contributing to measurement simplicity, speed and accuracy are the Metrel MI3152ES EurotestXC Multifunction Installation Tester’s integrated help screens which can be used as a reference for guiding the user through each test procedure. Moreover, accessing the required test function is simple via the MI3152's easy-to-use interface and large, colour touchscreen display.  

In addition to the aforementioned measurement procedures and tests, the Metrel MI3152ES EurotestXC Multifunction Installation Tester has been designed with adaptability in mind and can be configured to locate cables and communicate with QR/ barcode scanners as well as test the following parameters (see below) via the addition of OPTIONAL extras (please contact our sales team prior to purchase). Optional measurement parameters include:

  • Specific earth resistance with Ro-adapter
  • True-RMS leakage and load currents
  • Illumination
  • High-resolution loop impedance (mΩ)

Test results are indicated on the aforementioned large, colour display; they can also be communicated to the user’s PC or Android smartphone/ tablet via Bluetooth. The Metrel MI3152ES EurotestXC Multifunction Installation Tester supports the aMESM app and data management tool.

Once downloaded to a PC, data can be analysed using the included Metrel ES Manager Software, allowing the user to create comprehensive reports, including EVSE reports.

Finally, the Metrel MI3152ES EurotestXC Multifunction Installation Tester is equipped with practical features such as rechargeable batteries and a built-in charger designed to extend the tester’s operating time.

Metrel A1532 EVSE Adapter for Electric Vehicle Charger Testing Description

Designed for testing mode 3 Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) with type-2 connectors, the Metrel A1532 EVSE Adapter is equipped with a banana socket output for connecting three-phase installation testers and a socket output for connecting single-phase testers (phase 1, neutral and PE), as well as a type-2 male plug connector for attachment to EVSE. As the Metrel A1532 EVSE Adapter facilitates the Metrel MI3152 EurotestXC Multifunction Installation Tester's ability to check the safety and functionality of electric vehicle charging stations. It is able to support the MI3152’s EV AUTO SEQUENCES, thereby allowing the user to check every aspect of the EV charging station state-by-state at the push of a button.
