Metrel MD 9880 True-RMS Thermal Multimeter (50Hz)
The Metrel MD 9880 True-RMS Thermal Multimeter is a combined infrared imager and electrical tester. Thermal imaging expands the multimeter’s scope-for-use; for instance, it can detect friction stress, thermal losses, and leaks.
The Metrel MD 9880 True-RMS Thermal Multimeter has a thermal resolution of 80x80px, a field-of-view of 21° x 21°, and a frame rate of 50Hz. It can measure temperatures between -20°C and +260°C to an accuracy of ±3°C/3%. Temperatures can be displayed in °C, °F or K; an on-camera cursor ensures that thermal images are easy to read. Additionally, the user can view thermal images in four different colour palettes.
Once hotspots have been identified using thermal imaging, the Metrel MD 9880 True-RMS Thermal Multimeter can be used to troubleshoot the problem by testing and measuring various parameters including:
