Sonel TestPD Partial Discharge Meter

Designed for testing the PD of live cable heads and cable joints (voltage at least 6kV), the Sonel TestPD Partial Discharge Meter is a compact, portable tester with an ultrasonic sensor, electromagnetic high-frequency sensor, and capacitive VHF sensor all for partial discharge measurements. An industrial current frequency sensor enables synchronisation of measurements; the Sonel TestPD Partial Discharge Meter also functions as a non-contact pyrometer (-40°C to +120°C).

An advanced system software allows you to evaluate the condition of the object-under-test quickly and easily. The Sonel TestPD Partial Discharge Meter can be easily operated by service personnel of all experiences. Data relating to the cable joint condition is immediately displayed in a four-colour histogram and a cross-section of the high voltage cable. It is also possible to view readings remotely via an Android smartphone or tablet with the Sonel TestPD app installed.
