Testo 770-1 True RMS Hook Clamp Meter - AC/DC

If you've ever used a clamp meter inside an electrical cabinet, you'll know how tricky it can be sometimes to clamp around the wire you need. Testo's uniquely designed 770 series clamp meters solve this problem with unique, retractable pincers which can easily fit around these difficult measurement points.

Unlike other clamps, the jaws of the 770-1 don't open outwards together. Instead, one side of the jaws retracts downwards while you hook the other side around the wire. Once hooked, simply let go of the trigger, and the retractable section will clip into place to form the loop around the wire.

The 770-1 is the entry-level model in the 770 series. It's suitable for basic electrical measurements, including current from 0.1A to 400A (AC/DC), voltage from 1mV to 600V (AC/DC), resistance from 0.1Ω to 40MΩ, frequency from 0.01Hz to 10kHz and capacitance from 0.001μF to 100μF. Continuity and diode checks can also be performed.

The Testo 770-1 is a true RMS clamp meter. With this technology built-in, measurements taken of AC current and voltage are as accurate as possible, even when testing on noisy, distorted and irregular circuits. For added convenience, both AC/DC current and voltage can be measured automatically, saving you time and effort when configuring tests.
