The Di-Log DLCDFI is a certificate for domestic dwellings as required by BS 5839-6: 2019+A1:2020 and based on the model forms in Annex E. This certificate is an additional requirement when recording the electrical installation element of a domestic fire alarm system, either through an Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) or a Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate (MEIWC).
It serves as the official means for “signing off” on Grade D fire detection systems, according to the standards in Annex E of BS 5839-6. To ensure compliance with the recommendations of BS 5839-6, the grade of the fire detection and alarm system must be referenced on the certificate.
