The Di-Log DLCEIC182 is a comprehensive certificate suitable for the initial certification of a new installation and new work associated with an existing installation. It is designed for use in all single-phase and 3-phase properties.
An Electrical Installation Certificate is required for:
- New installations
- Additions to existing installations
- Alterations to an existing installation
- Changing of a consumer unit.
These certificates simplify paperwork by combining a schedule of inspection and a Schedule of Test Results on a single document. Without these documents, the Electrical Installation Certificate is not valid. The certificate should only be issued once the installation complies with BS 7671. An inspection and test performed on a new installation to confirm compliance is known as an initial verification.
