Made for use in HVAC work, the 407119 is capable of measuring both CFM and CMM air flow, air velocity and the overall ambient temperature of air in both degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit.
A hot wire anemometer, the device uses a connected probe which can be held into an application such as a duct to detect and relay testing information based on the internal air quality of the duct. This probe is telescopic, meaning it can be extended up to a length of 940mm (around 3ft) to get into difficult applications.
This tester also features multiple measurements units and can test in ft/min, MPH, knots, m/s and hm/h with a wide measurement range available for each parameters. It also includes CMM calculations from 0 to 36000m³/min and CFM measurements from 0 to 1, 271, 200ft³/min. It can measure temperature from 32 to 122°F or alternatively can be switched to Celsius mode to test from 0 to 50°C.
When testing air flow the 407119 features the ability to display information in 2 modes. The first of these shows an instant value of air flow, while the second is a up to 20 point average value. In addition to this function the 407119 also can record/recall MAX/MIN readings and includes a data hold function for temporary storage of testing data.
This anemometer also includes an RS-232 interface which allows the device to communicate with PC and an optional software package (sold separately and available on Extech's website).
