HD Electric PT-5000B Voltmeter Proof Tester

The HD Electric PT-5000B Voltmeter Proof Tester is a proving unit suitable for verifying that HD Electric’s voltmeters and phasers are operating correctly. It is optimised for checking voltmeters and phasers capable of measuring DC voltage; the HD Electric PT-5000B Voltmeter Proof Tester is unable to verify the correct functionality of instruments that only measure AC voltage.

The HD Electric PT-5000B Voltmeter Proof Tester will produce 5kV DC at the test leads; it functions in the following way:

1.) Connect the PT-5000B Proof Tester’s leads to the voltmeter's/ phaser’s probes

2.) Press and hold both TEST buttons

3.) Illumination of the red light will indicate that the battery is good; if the red light does not light up the battery should be replaced with another 9V lithium/ alkaline batter

4.) Verify that the voltmeter reads approximately 5kV

5.) Cease pressing the TEST buttons

6.) Disconnect the voltmeter/ phaser
