Megger MCT105 Cable Tracer

A cable tracing set consisting of a separate transmitter and receiver, the Megger MCT105 Cable Tracer can be used to track cables and metallic conductors in walls and underground; locate and identify fuses and breakers in electrical circuits; and find breaks or short circuits in cables and electrical underfloor heating systems. In addition to this, the Megger MCT105 Cable Tracer is suitable for tracing metal water and heating pipes.

The Megger MCT105 Cable Tracer works on both live and dead cables and conductors. To this end, the transmitter offers five voltage ranges (12V, 50V, 120V, 230V, and 400V) and can induce a signal in dead or isolated cables and conductors. Meanwhile, the non-contact voltage receiver with a built-in torch, features automatic and manual sensitivity adjustment and can detect buried cables to a depth of 2.5m. Audible and visual alerts indicate the strength of the detected signal.

Finally, to elongate battery life, both the Megger MCT105 Cable Tracer’s transmitter and receiver include an Auto Power Off function.
