Norbar EBT-72 EvoTorque® Battery Tool – Choice of Model

The Norbar EBT-72 EvoTorque® Battery Tools are accurate, reliable and efficient battery-powered torque tools combined with either a Norbar single-speed gearbox or auto two-speed gearbox. These models feature a new brushless motor, data memory and data transfer capabilities.

There are four versions of the Norbar EBT-72 EvoTorque® Battery Tools available: a single-speed tool, a single-speed kit, an auto two-speed tool and an auto two-speed kit. Please see the table below for further details. 

The single-speed models are ideal for torque with angle control whereas the auto two-speed models are better suited to rapid joint completion.

The Norbar EBT-72 EvoTorque® Battery Tools are designed for accurately applying torque to threaded fasteners. These transducer-controlled battery-powered torque tools are equipped with ‘intelligent joint sensing technology’ which continually monitors the joint during tightening and deploys dynamic braking to prevent torque over-shoot caused by motor inertia. As a result, the Norbar EBT-72 EvoTorque® Battery Tools have an accuracy of ±3% of the setting. The Norbar EBT-72 EvoTorque® Battery Tools are supplied with traceable calibration certificates for torque and angle.

Each of the Norbar EBT-72 EvoTorque® Battery Tools features Torque, Torque & Angle and Torque Audit modes. When the single-speed Norbar EBT-72 EvoTorque® Battery Tools are used in Torque & Angle and Torque Audit mode they can be set to a lower percentage of the tool maximum compared to their auto two-speed counterparts. As a result, the single-speed Norbar EBT-72 EvoTorque® Battery Tools are better suited to angle operation.

All the Norbar EBT-72 EvoTorque® Battery Tools offer an ‘Ease of Use’ functionality when they are used in Torque mode; this functionality works to minimise user error. Additionally, the ‘Safe to Start’ button ensures the user’s hands are safely positioned prior to beginning the application.

The Norbar EBT-72 EvoTorque® Battery Tools also include a high-powered LED for illuminating the application area and an OLED display for viewing data in all light conditions.

Also adding to the Norbar EBT-72 EvoTorque® Battery Tools' practicality, safety and versatility are their battery operation: they are not constrained by a power cable or hose. Their 18V, 5.0 Ah batteries and industrial motors equips them with a long operating time. The Norbar EBT-72 EvoTorque® Battery Tools will continue to function long after other battery-powered torque tools would have overheated.

It is possible to re-charge up to three Norbar batteries from flat and simultaneously in approximately 45 minutes.

Please note, Norbar has released a software update. The update, embedded within the advanced settings menu of the user interface, introduces the ability to disable the two-button start feature when it is deemed non-critical to operations. By default, this feature will remain enabled, requiring the use of the two-button start.
