Fully compatible with both thyristors and triacs, the Peak Electronics SCR100 is a uniquely designed tester that can generate the necessary test currents to accurately determine the status of these components.
Test equipment used in measuring thyristors/triacs is traditionally not capable of generating the test currents they need. The SCR100 is more than capable of generating these currents and can generate gate test currents from 100μA to 90mA and load test currents up to 100mA.
To use, simply connect the three leads attached to the tester to the triac/thyristor and press the test button. the SCR100 will then automatically identify what component type is connected, the configuration of the leads, categorise gate sensitivity and can also measure gate voltage using trigger. Once connected, the tester will also identify faults on the component, alerting the user to such things as shorted junctions, faulty operation and more.
All of this functionality is packed into an incredibly small unit that can fit in the palm of the hand. A built-in LCD screen relays results in a clear, easy-to-read format, while dedicated buttons for testing and scrolling make navigation as simple as possible.
