The Sonel MIC-5005 and MIC-5010 insulation resistance meters measure up to 15 TΩ. Their maximum measurement current, 1.2 mA or 3 mA, permits fast charging of high-capacitance objects. The meters can complete measurements using test cables up to 20 meters in length.
They have a voltage detection algorithm to differentiate between harmful and harmless voltages induced by electromagnetic fields. The meters can take readings when electromagnetic interference occurs. They automatically discharge the tested object, whether the test ends automatically or manually.
The MIC-5010 also offers advanced functionality, including continuity measurements of protective conductors and equipotential bonding in compliance with EN 61557-4 using a test current over 200 mA, with adjustable thresholds for insulation resistance and continuity (RCONT) measurements.
Measuring range according to IEC 61557-2 MIC-5005 - RISOmin = UISOnom/IISOmax = 50 kΩ…15.0 TΩ (IISOmax =1.2 mA or 3 mA) MIC-5010 - \(R_{ISOmin} =\frac{U_{ISOnom} }{I_{ISOmax}}\)=50 kΩ…15.0 TΩ (IISOmax =1.2 mA or 3 mA) |
