The Tietzsch EP 4 Earth Resistance Tester is a compact, rugged meter designed for fast, standard-compliant testing of protective and earth cables, equipotential bonding, and lightning arresters in low-voltage networks. It measures resistance from 0.01 Ω to 2 MΩ, with automatic range selection and a high measuring current for low-ohm applications.
The EP 4 has a large backlit display, acoustic warnings for resistances below 2 Ω, automatic pole change, and storage of measurement results. Safety is ensured with CAT III 300 V / CAT II 600 V protection, external voltage safeguards, and an integrated overvoltage fuse.
