Aim-TTi CPX200DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply - 360W, 2 Outputs

The Aim-TTi CPX200DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply is a two-channel, flexible power supply with support for bus control.

PowerFlex Design

Each of the Aim-TTi CPX200DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s channels has a maximum power output of 180W, a maximum voltage output of 60V, and a maximum current output of 10A. The PowerFlex design provides variable voltage and current combinations within the maximum power envelope and enables higher currents to be generated at lower voltages.

Each of the Aim-TTi CPX200DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s outputs can operate in constant voltage or constant current mode and includes automatic crossover as well as a mode indicator and over-voltage protection.

In addition to this, the Aim-TTi CPX200DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s PowerFlex regulation system utilises a high-frequency pre-regulator in combination with a linear post regulator to provide a good transient response and low noise.

Isolated Voltage Tracking

The Aim-TTi CPX200DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s outputs are independent and electronically isolated to provide greater flexibility.

Additionally, the Aim-TTi CPX200DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply includes a V-Track mode which disables the Slave voltage controls and sets the Slave voltage to the same level as the Master voltage. The two outputs continue to remain electronically isolated in this mode. The V-Track mode allows the user to generate two rails of either polarity which may be referenced to different grounds.

Alternatively, the Aim-TTi CPX200DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s two outputs may be wired in series or parallel to increase the voltage and current outputs to 120V and 20A respectively.

Output Control

Both of the Aim-TTi CPX200DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s outputs feature independent On/Off switches. This PSU also includes a Both On/ Both Off switch for activating and deactivating both channels simultaneously; this is particularly useful for circuits which may be damaged if only one of the voltage rails is present.

Analogue Control with Digital Stability

Each of the Aim-TTi CPX200DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s channels includes coarse and fine voltage controls and a logarithmic current control for setting low current levels accurately. In addition to this, the Aim-TTi CPX200DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply has internal digital circuitry to prevent settings from drifting or being accidentally altered. The S-Lock button transfers control of the voltage and current settings from the analogue dials to the internal digital system, providing the user with the ease of analogue control combined with the precision and stability of digital operation.

The user is able to see and alter settings by pressing the View Settings button.

Precision Metering and Remote Sense

Additionally, each of the Aim-TTi CPX200DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s outputs includes a remote sense at the terminal to ensure precise regulation at the load and true metering of the load voltage. The remote sense terminals can be activated and deactivated as required.

Furthermore, both channels have a dedicated voltage and current meter with a 4-digit display and fixed 10mA/ 10mV resolution, allowing the user to gather precise and repeatable measurements at a glance. The fixed resolution prevents accidental misreading of results as is common with auto-ranging 3/3.5-digit meters.

Fixed Power Supply

The Aim-TTi CPX200DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply can also be used as a Fixed Power Supply. When set to the Fixed Power Supply mode, the resolution of the voltage and current controls is improved; the Aim-TTi CPX200DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply is also kept in constant current or constant voltage mode despite the load.

In addition to this, it is possible to customise the Aim-TTi CPX200DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s voltage and current limits allowing the user to tailor the PSU to meet the requirements of his/her application.

Ergonomic Design

The Aim-TTi CPX200DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply is suitable for laboratory bench and rack-mount applications, as well as panel and remote control. To this end, it features a small bench footprint and is housed in a compact ½ rack 3U case, this allows two units to be fitted into a single rack slot.

Furthermore, the Aim-TTi CPX200DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply features power and sense terminals on both the front and rear of the unit which is particularly useful for rack-mount applications.

Moreover, as mentioned above, the Aim-TTi CPX200DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply is able to accommodate remote bus control. To this end, it supports digital interfaces including RS-232, USB, LAN (LXI) and GPIB. Each of these digital bus interfaces provides full control of voltage, current and output on/off, as well as read-back of voltage, current and status.

Additionally, the Aim-TTi CPX200DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply includes an IVI driver which is able to support high-level Windows applications such as LabView, LabWindows and HP/ Agilent VEE.

Finally, the Aim-TTi CPX200DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply includes safety binding posts which are touch-proof to 250V due to their limited opening length and raised insulated shoulders. The binding posts are able to accept normal plugs, bare wires and fork connectors as well as fixed-shroud 4mm plugs.

The Aim-TTi CPX200DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply is a compact, reliable and flexible PSU suitable for variable power supply and fixed power supply applications.

Voltage Tracking (CPX400D & DP)
Independent Mode In the normal mode of operation, each output is fully independent and isolated. Operation is
equivalent to two single-output power supplies.
Voltage Tracking Mode The two outputs remain isolated, but the Slave voltage controls are disabled and the Slave
voltage is set equal to the Master voltage. This can be used to generate tracking bipolar voltages, or tracking unipolar voltages relative to different grounds.
When voltages greater than 60V are required, the outputs can be wired in series to generate
0 to 120V with the voltage controlled from the Master.
When currents greater than 10A are required, the outputs can be wired in parallel to create
the equivalent of a 20A power supply with the voltage controlled from the Master.
Track Accuracy: Slave voltage = ± (0·1% of Master voltage setting + 10mV)
Both On/ Both Off (CP400D & DP) Each output has an independent DC On/Off control, however, an additional control button is
provided which turn both outputs on or off simultaneously.
Analogue Remote Interface (CPX400SA Only)
The CPX400SA offers galvanically isolated analogue remote control of voltage and current
from control voltages. Voltage and current front panel settings generate non-isolated analogue
output voltages that can be used to control slave power supplies.
