The FLIR CM94 AC/DC True-RMS Utility Clamp Meter is optimised for utilities and industrial electrical technicians requiring a tool to measure high currents. The FLIR CM94 AC/DC True-RMS Utility Clamp Meter is able to measure currents up to 2000A AC/DC and can be used to test relays, distribution panels, switchgear, service conductors, feeders and production power lines.
To fit around conductor wires and busbars, the FLIR CM94 AC/DC True-RMS Utility Clamp Meter features an oversized 55mm jaw. Furthermore, its CAT IV 1000V safety rating also expands its scope-for-use: it protects the FLIR CM94 AC/DC True-RMS Utility Clamp Meter from dangerous transient overvoltage near utility service equipment.
The FLIR CM94 AC/DC True-RMS Utility Clamp Meter includes a number of features designed to improve its accuracy such as LoZ (low-impedance) mode which prevents errors caused by residual ghost voltage. Additionally, the VFD mode can be used to filter signal noise, making the FLIR CM94 AC/DC True-RMS Utility Clamp Meter suitable for use on large motors and motor controls, whilst the FLIR CM94’s true-RMS capabilities ensure that it is able to determine accurate AC voltage and current measurements.
In addition to measuring current, the FLIR CM94 AC/DC True-RMS Utility Clamp Meter can also be used to check AC/DC voltage, resistance, frequency and temperature. It also includes a continuity test mode for troubleshooting connections and components.
Measurements are indicated via the backlit, large, 6000-count display. Test functions are easily accessible using the thumb-dial which enables one-handed operation. The FLIR CM94 AC/DC True-RMS Utility Clamp Meter can be used in both manual-ranging and auto-ranging mode, allowing the user to tailor the tester to suit the application.
