Supplied with both transmitter and receiver, the Metrel MI 2093 set is ideal for tracing cables (both live and voltage-free), finding cable interruptions and short circuits, locating fuses and tracing pipe installations/other conductive loops.
With the MI 2093, you can accurately trace cables through walls, floors, underground and anywhere else you need to. The system works by injecting an emitted signal directly into the installation; the supplied receiver then picks up on this signal and supplies information about the structure and integrity of the cable/fuse/pipe under test.
The receiver is highly sensitive to returning signals and uses both sound and visual output in accordance with the returning signal's intensity. It features both inductive and capacitive detectors (which can be changed using a sliding switch) and is suitable for energised, voltage-free and other types of signals.
