Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester Description

The Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester is ideal for testing mid-volumes of workplace appliances in order to ensure compliance with the IET 5^th Edition Code of Practice. It includes the following testing capabilities:

• Low current earth continuity test
• Insulation resistance test
• IEC lead test
• Protective conductor current test
• Touch current test
• Load power/ current test
• Alternative leakage current test
• RCD test
• Power socket test

This instrument can also be used to perform point-to-point testing of earth continuity and insulation resistance when used with a suitable OPTIONAL accessory. The user can create up to twenty-five customised electrical and visual test sequences allowing him/her to adapt this instrument to suit the purpose.

Test results acquired using the Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester can be saved to its internal memory with a 2000-measurement capacity.

What’s New?

Hardware Update

The Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester has been designed to reduce downtime; to this end, it includes an interchangeable, rechargeable battery. Other practical additions to this instrument include a wiring harness as well as test leads with stronger PVC insulation and resilient probes. These test leads and probes make the Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester better suited to demanding applications.

 Moreover, like its predecessor, the Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester includes a QWERTY keyboard and high-definition colour display, adding to its practicality and ease-of-use.

Firmware Update

The Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester’s firmware has also been updated to improve its ease-of-use and practicality. The included updates work to make this instrument more versatile and adaptable.

These updates include:

• New user permissions for Bluetooth
• Ability to download information directly onto an Android device using USB on-the-go technology
• ‘After Test’ function which allows the user to print test results automatically
• ‘Worst’ and ‘Last’ options are available in the Leakage Test settings
• Ability to measure mains voltage and outlet wiring using the added socket outlet test
• Option to delete unwanted test results
• Review Step – check test details before the addition of final comments
• Ability to sort data via a filter – set data to be filtered using a number of different specifications including the PASS/ FAIL status of each result, thereby improving the data view
• Advanced search function
• Items can be deleted from drop-down lists allowing the user to tailor them to his/her preferences
• Asset ID is displayed on each test screen
• Downloaded files can be named using unique identifiers thereby facilitating easy location

Software

In addition to this, the Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester supports Bluetooth communication capabilities, allowing the user to send information to a compatible mobile phone or tablet.

Test results can also be organised into reports and invoices using Seaward's PAT Guard 3.4 Software with Time Manager (NOT included). Additionally, the Time Manager component of this software can be used to manage teams of workers.
