The Sonel MIC-2501 is suitable for testing motors, underground cables, street lighting, photovoltaic system construction, servicing, and verifying the condition of alarm systems in pre-insulated piping.
It performs insulation resistance measurements with test voltages up to 2500 V and automatically discharges any residual cable voltage upon test completion. It can also verify the continuity of protective conductors and equipotential bondings using over 200 mA of current in both directions.
A built-in voltmeter measures AC and DC voltages up to 750 V, while its internal memory can store and export nearly 12,000 measurements. The MIC-2501 also has a robust IP65-rated casing, a long battery life, and the ability to recharge during active use via a 12 V/2 Ah external power source.
