This is the Seek Thermal Compact XR, the upgraded version of the Seek Thermal Compact and the world's smallest thermal imager! The Compact XR must be used in conjunction with the Apple USB-C to Lighting Adapter Cable. The Apple cable is approx. 10cm long (Apple Part Number MUQX3ZM/A) and can be purchased from the Apple Store or Apple dealers.

Designed to plug directly into your iOS smartphone* via the Lightning Connector, the Compact XR delivers powerful, high quality thermal imaging with 206 x 156 pixel resolution. It can be used in both day and nighttime conditions and thanks to exceptional performance over a distance of up to 1800 feet, this imager is ideal for use by conservationists and ecologists to track wildlife.

The Seek Thermal Compact XR is entirely controlled by the free Seek Thermal app which is available as a download from the App store. With this app, you can measure temperature with just a few degrees, test and measure specific temperature ranges, contast and compare thermal and visual images and - via your smartphone's functionality - capture photos and video and share with others via social media, emails and text messages.

It is highly recommended for use in a wide variety of different applications including law enforcement, night security, search and rescue, land sureveillance and border protection, public safety and tactical support and is also an ideal tool for security in factories and warehouses, residential properties and anywhere else!

Smartphone Case Compatibility

In some cases, thicker smartphone cases (especially ruggedized ones) will not provide enough clearance around the connection port. To use the camera you must either remove the case or attach the camera using an extender or adapter (sold separately).

You will require an iOS smartphone or tablet running at least iOS 8.0 to use this camera and the compatible app.
