First Stop Safety BattPAT Simple PAT Tester Description
Even if you're completely new to the field of PAT testing or are in an area where you don't have a lot of items to test, the BattPAT is an ideal entry-level PAT testing instrument that makes it quick and easy to check appliances for safety.
Small, portable, and designed for use on the move thanks to its fully rechargeable batteries (no mains power required and lasts for up to 600 tests!), the BattPAT is 5th Edition compliant and fully suitable for use on class I and class II appliances, power cords and long leads. It's also designated as IT safe and won't cause damage to IT-based equipment that runs at a lower voltage (requires the use of an adaptor).
PAT testing is simple using the BattPAT; just connect up an appliance as is appropriate, press the class I metal test, class I plastic test, class II test, or power cord button, and the tester will do the rest! This instrument uses LED lights to show whether an appliance has passed or failed the tests, with red/green LEDs for earth continuity testing, insulation resistance testing, polarity testing, and the overall testing result.
